“ Authentic German/American restaurant serving many great German meals. (And normal supper club choices, like steak and seafood too!) Going through some outdoor renovations right now, so don't judge the book by its cover. Inside this is a cute, well decorated German themed bar and restaurant. Bartenders are friendly and they have a full list of martinis and other specialty drinks to choice from (my wife loved her Lemon Drop Martini) including many after-dinner ice cream drinks! As far as German food, I didn't know that there were so many ways to make Schnitzel! My wife and I both ordered the Schnitzel Trio, which included a regular veal schnitzel, one with asparagus and Holliday Sauce and another called the Black Forrest. I liked them all, but would have to say the plain old regular one was my favorite. Dinners include a well stocked build your own salad bar. All meals also came with a choice of side which included sauerkraut, spatzel or potato. Meal was great, had fun at the bar with the locals and loved the service. Cash only however! ”
“ Great place for food and German beer around NE Wisconsin. As close as you can get to Germany in our small community. ”
“ Great spot for German beer and a meal. Excellent service. Nice salad bar that sometimes includes amazing creamy tomato soup. My go to meal is grilled salmon with spatzl. When you arrive, sit at the bar and ask for a menu. The server will take your order while at the bar and seat you a little later. ”
“ This was my first visit to the Bavarian Inn in over 40 years. Arriving at 5:30 on a Saturday the place was packed already...that's a good sign! It took a bit of time to get a place to sit and wait for a table, and a short wait for a drink...once we were seated in the dining room we got to see why it was so busy! Awesome salad bar and our meals were excellent! I tried the Schnitzel combo plate and would recommend! Nice menu with many German specialty dishes. Hard working friendly staff. I can't wait to go back! ”
“ This place is the real deal; Bavarian Supper club on the way to the north woods! Get off Rt 141 and go west to the main intersection of old Rt 141. Exterior is a little worn but inside is immaculately clean and full of Bavarian charm! The Old Fashions are delicious and the Hacker beers on tap are a perfect addition to German Supper Club food. We had Jager Schnitzel, Veal Cordon Swiss and spaetzle. Nicely done. Classic supper club salad bar, homemade beef barley soup.....and we were stuffed! But we'll be back! The ice cream drinks look tempting. Service was top notch! ”
“ My daughter and I were here for Valentines Day. Right away I noticed the full array of Munich driven Hacker-Pschorr beer, on tap. The 30 minute drive was rewarded by a Salmon filet and a 16oz Tenderloin. The Salad bar was delicious as well as clean. The soups were Beef Barley and Cream of Mushroom. When I return I will go toward the Schnitzel options and pure German delights. If you are going north on hey 141, consider stopping here for a pleasant experience. The Bavarian Inn is obviously the local favorite. I will return and most likely push my review up to a 5 Star. I need more of this place to do it justice. Comfortable atmosphere, good food and a solid bar. Lena has a great supper club. ”
